This Privacy Policy explains how Netiza LLC d/b/a A1 Food Safety (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit a1foodsafety.com (the “Site”) or purchase products from us.

We respect your privacy. We collect only the information needed to operate our business, fulfill your orders, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information.


1. Important Notice — Authorized Reseller and Data Sharing with ServSafe®

A1 Food Safety is an authorized seller of ServSafe® products under written trademark permission granted by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. We are not the owner, developer, or manufacturer of ServSafe® products.

ServSafe® and ServSuccess® are registered trademarks of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

When you purchase a ServSafe® digital product, online course, exam voucher, or certification through our Site, we forward only the information needed to register and activate that product (typically your name and email address) to ServSafe® or its authorized fulfillment provider. Once registered with ServSafe®, your use of the ServSafe® platform — including course access, exam scheduling, score reporting, and certificate management — is governed by ServSafe®’s own privacy policy: https://www.servsafe.com/privacy-policy.

We have no control over ServSafe®’s data practices and are not responsible for them.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you interact with our Site, you may provide us with:

  • Contact information: name, email address, mailing address, phone number
  • Account information: if you create an account, your username and password
  • Order information: items purchased, billing and shipping addresses, order history
  • Payment information: processed securely through our third-party payment processor (we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers — see Section 5)

  • ServSafe® and its fulfillment partners: When you purchase a ServSafe® product, we share the information needed to register or activate that product (typically name, email address, and product details).
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the safety or rights of any person.
  • Business transfers: If we are acquired, merged, or sell substantially all of our assets, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your consent: We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.


5. Payment Information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Your full credit card number, security code, and expiration date are transmitted directly to the processor and are not stored on our servers.

We may store the last four digits of your card number and the card type for your reference and for fraud-prevention purposes.


6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our Site, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and (where you opt in) deliver advertising.

9.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (we do not sell your information)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Non-discrimination — we will not penalize you for exercising your privacy rights

9.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or applicable Swiss law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.


10. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@a1foodsafety.com and we will delete it.

For users between 13 and 17, we recommend that purchases be made by a parent or legal guardian.


Our Site may link to ServSafe.com or other third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with information.


12. International Visitors

Our Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated via email (if you have an account) or by prominent notice on the Site.
